Paris 2 - eating out at Le Baron Rouge

Saturday ------ Baron Rouge

This is where we all had the first drinks of the day!

The Rovers found a good corner seat - right at the back in the picture!

Outside was the Oyster Man - so called because he used to have a very productive oyster bed but after a ship collision close by all the oysters died.  He now brings his 'opener' machine to outside the bar and opens oysters for the passing public - for a small fee of course!!!
We spent some time in here, unfortunately coffee wasn't sold on site so PJ offered to go fetch one for me.

The only place to sell coffee was the local chocolatier -

They were very kind, even supplied the plastic beaker!
I  had several cups of delicious coffee from there and later visited the shop to look round -  delicious chocolate everywhere!!!!
Bought some bags of assorted samples for TK and S, they looked delicious but I was very good and managed to get them home safely!!!

Back to Baron Rouge ....

As we sat round the table, talking and laughing, we had a big plate of charcuterie, which came with rilettes, pate, salami and ham along with pickles - and the obligatory bread!  delish!

We left about 14.00hrs and meandered through the Paris streets in the direction of Place de Bastille.....
