Digging up slabs and laying turf, then laying slabs somewhere else!

 S had told us she didn't want the slabs left from the greenhouse removal, just needed it turfed.

 We said we would do a swap with her, our turf for her slabs.

PJ dug up the turf and laid it onto a good pile of sods.

With the help of daughter C and her man R we have managed to lift the slabs, bring them home and take the turf to fill the empty area.

I don't have any photos of the new turf, a one minute video of three people Greek dancing (heeling the soil prior to laying turf) across some dirt does not count!!!

So here is the spot for the turf....... plus bricks and sticks and PJ's hands!!


The bricks were laid at the end of the present patio and then came the slabs..........




After about four hours solid work I have this wonderful extended patio.......... plus a wider border.......





Wasn't long before the 'Boss' came out to inspect - she gave it her seal of approval, and the chicken agreed as well!!!
