I can't believe that this all happened a week ago!!! It seemed like we waited to go to the Palace for ages and now it is a recollection ......................... hopefully I will be able to post about the visit - if my PC was a friendly PC I might be able to work a bit quicker but ....................... maybe it IS the internet ...................... one day I will put my PC away to the menders and manage for however long without it!!!!! Until I am brave enough .......... I will struggle on ..............
We lingered over breakfast in PG and then opened up the Student's house, we were amazed by what has been done. The rooms are waiting for carpets so that the furniture can be moved in, they are painted in pastel shades, very muted. The bathroom is stunning and N is adamant that they only bought tiles as everything else cleaned up good! Three 2nd year Medical Students will be moving in on 1st September, and the Letting Agents are hopeful of finding a 4th, so the race to finish is on.
We finished up in the garden but as N and E were to collect H at 15.00hrs there was a bit of a rush at the end so we could not leave it as tidy as we wished. We didn't have access to the house, we had no broom and just stacked the bags and left it.
The day was extremely hot ........................ and we did sit and natter for a while ............................... then it was lunchtime ............................ then we nattered a bit more ......................that's the real reason we ran out of time to complete.
I think PJ wants to come back another day but ....................................
top border is now a rockery |
the side border is visible |
There is easy acess to the bins now |
A clean spacious area. |
We understand that the three lads that have taken rooms so far have spent their first year together, so maybe they will make use of this area for sitting out.
